Informative Q, is a team of volunteers that strive to make our community a better place.
In April 2015, Informative Q, became a program under the fiscal sponsorship of the Roanoke Diversity Center. Together through educational, entertaining and fun filled articles we hope to unify all communities here in SWVA.
With the help of our unique blend of writers, photographers, and other amazing volunteers we produce a bi-monthly publication centered on the LGBTQ community as well as other diverse communities that help make SWVA such a unique and beautiful place to live.

Creative Director:
The creative director is in charge of the visual aspect of the magazine. They are constantly in communication with the chief editor. His or her main task is creating cover concepts and directing photo shoots.
Executive Editor:
The executive editor, selects the writers, assigns them stories and edits their articles. He or she usually writes the larger stories and our cover headlines that must be short, sweet and catchy.
Copy Editor:
A copy editor is one of the few who read the magazine thoroughly from cover to cover. He or she makes sure the publication has no errors in spelling or grammar and makes sure there no libel issues.
Advertising Director:
The ad director reports to the publisher. They manage accounts while networking, selling, and finding leads.
Marketing Director:
The marketing director is in charge of creating value beyond the page. He or she handles market research, reports the trends, gathers statistics and intelligence about the potential advertiser’s brand and also plans events and programs.
Circulation Director:
The circulation director is in charge of the distribution of the magazine. Which includes subscriptions and newsstand management.
Community Journalist:
He or she would go out into the community. They report on community and social events.
